KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE is now accepting applications for a FULL-TIME RETAIL MANAGER for THE COUNTRY LIFE STORE . The Country Life Store specializes in a variety of country-themed décor such as primitive candles, locally made PA Dutch furniture, tapestry, pillows and towels, potpourri, braided rugs, and much more. The ideal candidate for this position will have home goods and décor knowledge, team management, and purchasing background.

COMPETENCIES/SCHEDULE

The ideal candidate for this position must have a strong retail management background and proven sales experience. They should display a high level of confidentiality and ethical conduct along with excellent communication skills and guest focus. They should also be highly organized with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.

This position provides an excellent work/life balance with a 5-day work week, no evenings or Sundays. Saturday and holiday work required. Receive a competitive base salary with the potential for an end-of-year bonus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Lead, train, coach, and motivate sales associates.
2. Be knowledgeable of and communicate company policies and procedures.
3. Have first-rate product knowledge and provide constant training to team members on new and existing products.
4. Have a working knowledge of software platforms, inventory management, e-mail, scheduling, and payroll.
5. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
6. Maximize store profitability by setting daily goals, analyzing monthly and annual plans, and driving sales to meet financial objectives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job requires being on your feet for up to four hours at a time. You must be able to walk at a brisk pace from location to location for a full day’s shift. You may be asked to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds and use a stepstool. Twisting, bending, reaching, stooping, or kneeling is required. You must be able to safely drive a golf cart and maneuver in the parking lot and driveways at the Village. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers/fax machines, cash drawers, and filing cabinets.
