$50,000 - $85,000 a year - Full-time, based upon length of experience and an evaluation of the qualifications of the applicant.

PURPOSE: Manhattan -based New York Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Examiner to join our expanding subrogation recovery operation. The ideal candidate is a serious, skilled and confident individual who is responsible for handling all aspects of subrogation recoveries, and who is looking for full time long-term employment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Identify and evaluate subrogation potential
• Conduct searches to verify subrogation opportunities
• Conduct negotiations to bring to a disposition to both nonsuit and litigated claims
• Work effectively with insureds, brokers, attorneys, and claims departments
REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent life experience
• At least two years of experience in handling No-fault, PD or PD subro automobile claims
• Strong telephone demeanor and articulation skills
• Possesses the ability to organize and prioritize work activities timely and efficiently
• Possesses the ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and select the best course of action in a timely manner
• Possesses aggressive and well-honed negotiation skills
• Proficient use of a laptop and Microsoft Outlook
