What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Secretary position at County of Hancock?
Hancock County Government is seeking full-time Legal Secretary to fill a vacancy in the Hancock County District Attorney’s Office.
The Legal Secretary is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, working with the general public to answer questions and accept payments for fees, maintaining and organizing files and copying discovery and other documents as necessary.
Qualified Candidates must have good time management skills, attention to detail, the ability to work as part of a team and a knowledge of general computer programs. Previous legal secretarial experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
The starting rate of pay for the Legal Secretary position is $17.57 and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
Before hire, and periodically thereafter, must comply with Hancock County background check requirements.
