Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs office and field tasks that relate to the functions of Public Works. Works directly with engineering staff and other departments in reviewing plans related to existing or proposed County infrastructure. Familiar with civil engineering applications, mathematics, and office computer software such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Additional Job Requirements:
Will develop a working knowledge of tax map system, planning and development guidelines, deeds, plats, engineering and surveying practices, SCDOT standards, Lex Co. roadway inventory, GIS, County website, etc.
Preferred Experience:
1-2 years of experience in road and storm damage construction, civil engineering design, or related field.
