Respond, capture, transport, and conduct investigation into various complaints regarding livestock and poultry within Lexington County. Enforce county ordinance and South Carolina law as they pertain to livestock, poultry, dogs and cats in the county. To assist the public/public safety with nuisance animals and animal complaints. To prosecute court cases effectively and in a timely manner. To properly assess and place impounded/surrendered animals within the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Investigations involving livestock/poultry.
-Prosecuting Court Cases for animal complaints.
-Euthanizing animals due to behavior issues, space &/or owner request.
-Running after hours calls for assistance from public safety and emergency calls.
-Placing and monitoring traps for evasive dogs/cats
-Assess and place animals within the facility
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.62 per hour
