Job Description:
Serves as foreman for Public Works Road Maintenance crew. Supervises construction activities including grading, paving, ditching, pipe laying, masonry, and building pads. Assists with road base preparation, dirt road maintenance and paving, drainage maintenance and other repairs. Confers with the public regarding road and drainage conditions.
Additional Job Requirements:
Assists SCDOT with maintaining the safety of all primary and secondary roadways in Lexington County during inclement weather. Is subject to be on call at all times in non-emergency situations.
Equivalent Education, Training and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 7 years of experience; or and equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid SC Commercial
Driver's License-Class A (CDL-A).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.77 per hour
