Covenant Woods, in Hanover VA, has a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced Director of Information Technology (IT). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in operating IT systems and managing an IT team.

We are looking to hiring a Director of Information Technology (IT) to participate in and manage all aspects of the organization's information technology infrastructure and operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the company's IT systems, phone systems, networks, applications, and technology-related processes. You will play a key role in aligning the IT strategy with the overall business objectives and contribute to the company's growth and success through the effective use of technology resources. This is a hands-on management role which will require the individual not only to be technically astute but have management experience as well.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology needs and opportunities to enhance business processes and efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for their integration into the organization.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, servers, networks, and security systems.
  • Ensure IT systems' availability, scalability, and performance to meet business demands.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure security and data integrity.
  • Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Allocate resources appropriately to meet project deadlines and operational needs.
  • Responsible for the overall security of the internal and external enterprise.
  • Maintain HIPAA policies and procedures including ongoing reviews, updates, and approvals.
  • Maintain and expand Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's data and systems from potential threats.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards, regulations, and data protection laws.
  • Review contracts and ensure all necessary Business Associate Agreements are in place.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT leadership role with a track record of successful IT strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure management, Netsmart, Firewalls and Microsoft Teams is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire the IT team.
