CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Test Center Manager oversees operation of the CPM Test Center in Waterloo, IA, including a team of Test Center Technicians. The Test Center determines the ability of CPM’s grinding and pelleting product lines to meet the needs of high-level prospects, with the primary purpose of selling new equipment.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage test center team, fostering a safe working environment and identifying training and coaching needs
• Work with the applications team and sales representatives to determine individual test protocols
• Manage all phases of tests: scheduling, customer communications, legal document review, recording and storing data, and creating customer-ready reports based on test results
• Keep the facility and equipment well maintained, clean and presentable
• Represent CPM brand to customers: including hosting of customers present for testing
• Inventory & ordering of all supplies, tools and parts
• Working closely with other CPM departments: including sales, shipping, R&D, manufacturing, etc.
• All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be organized, work well with others, be interested in industrial equipment and demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions in accordance with company and sales department objectives
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and ERP/SAP systems
• OSHA experience/training is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• 2 years of management or leadership experience
• 2 years of experience in an industrial environment

EDUCATION:

• AA degree or above is preferred
