- Deliver high-quality data in support of research, development, and project work, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Actively support and contribute to product trials and team projects, helping to advance new product development.
- Follow good documentation practices and version control for documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Help train Technician I associates and demonstrate best practices to foster a knowledgeable and skilled team.
- Produce laboratory-scale banknote paper, including quality watermark and incorporation of security features in lab hand sheets, supporting the development of new products.
- Prepare and test materials using existing methods (chemical, physical, and optical) to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Minimum of a 2-year associate’s degree or trade and/or certification program completion or commensurate experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
- Ability to review, understand, and execute test methods and standard work procedures with minimal supervision.
- Communicates with clarity and accuracy to colleagues and customers. Good interpersonal verbal and written skills to support their work.
- 2-5 years of experience in labs, lab testing, quality testing, or scientific testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience in physical/mechanical property testing.
- Experience in testing, documenting, writing, and implementing new test methods.
- Experience leading efforts in such as safety and/or laboratory organizational activities
- Strong analytical ability coupled with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Skilled in working with chemicals including acids, bases, solvents while diligently wearing personal protective equipment.
