Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Perform medical imaging as required, ensuring accurate capture of diagnostic images.
- Manage patient flow and provide exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records using Eaglesoft software.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations within the practice.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and aseptic techniques is preferred.
- Proficient in using dental software such as Eaglesoft for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices, including infection control measures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is an advantage.
