Creative Keyboardist is seeking a part-time piano teacher to teach adults. Most students are beginning and “returner” adults, with some intermediate adults.
This position is ideal for an established, working teacher who would like to add more adult students to their roster, many of whom can take their lessons in the mornings or early afternoons when kids can’t. You may set your own teaching schedule. A page for your location with your bio will be added to the Creative Keyboardist website.
This position involves in-person teaching at YOUR studio in Denver. Your studio could be at your home or in a commercial space that you rent. Either way, you MUST have your own studio and it MUST be within Denver city limits.
Some virtual/online teaching may also be involved.
You should have a professional instrument(s), preferably both an acoustic and digital piano. You should also have appropriate technology for teaching virtually.
You may set your own teaching schedule as long as it’s a good match for most adult students.
You’ll build your roster of students gradually, one student at a time. While not guaranteed, it’s likely that you’ll acquire 10 students within 6-12 months.
The ideal teacher will have demonstrable teaching experience with positive reviews, broad knowledge and skill playing and teaching both classical and popular keyboard music, and music theory proficiency.
This is an independent contractor position. We’ll agree on your teaching rate and related terms, and enter into a written independent contractor agreement.
Professional written communication skills are an important aspect of your application, messages you send, etc.
