The Daycare Teacher will work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the safety and well-being of all children while fostering a love for learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Supervise children during activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, catering to their unique needs and interests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and effective classroom management techniques.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs for infants and toddlers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere focused on the children's best interests.
- Stay informed about child development trends and best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
- Previous experience in daycare or childcare settings is preferred, including babysitting or caregiving roles.
- Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, special education, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential.
