Job Title: Field Operations - Dispatcher
Job Purpose Summary: Schedule and dispatch flaggers, traffic control crews, and equipment to appropriate locations to meet the needs of clients and contractors, accommodate special requests and/or needs, and maintain daily work schedules.
Responsibilities:
· Schedule flaggers and traffic control crews to meet the needs of clients and contractors to fulfill contractual obligations.
· Adapt and Incorporate safety culture.
· Research and relay onsite information to management team.
· Utilize proficiently and prepare and maintain daily work schedules in CROSS.
· Confer with clients, contractors, and foreman and/or site supervisors to address questions, problems, and requests for additional personnel or equipment.
· Communicate as a liaison with foreman, site supervisors, inspectors and other clients and contractors concerning current and anticipated workforce needs.
· Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor.
Skills:
· Above average organization skills. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
· Must be able to maintain professionalism no matter the stress level of the situation.
· Customer Service- responds promptly to client and contractor needs; respond to requests for service and assistance from internal and external sources; meet commitments.
· Oral Communication- speaks clearly in positive and negative situations; respond well to questions; participate in meetings.
· Strong managerial abilities.
· Computer Skills- average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, and internet. The ability to learn new computer programs and software.
Qualifications:
· 3 years of scheduling or dispatching.
· Basic language and mathematical skills.
· Reasoning ability.

Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
· While performing the duty of this job, the employee will be working in a typical office environment. There may be instances or situations requiring job site visits outside of the office. This may involve exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock
· Hours and schedule may vary, including occasional evening, weekends and holidays.
