What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interpreter - Spanish position at CRF Behavioral Healthcare?
Hours: 20 hours per week, with some evenings Clinic hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday and Friday; 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Tuesday - Thursday
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Education: High School/GED diploma required

As an Interpreter, you will:
Support the program staff and clients by providing interpreting services for clients.
- Interpret and translate clinical information for the program staff and clients.
- Provide interpretation during triage, assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, nursing, psychiatry appointments, and during telephone calls.
- Assist with translation of medical records and clinical documents.
- Provide general clerical/reception supports to the program as needed.
- Depending upon needs of the program and clients, may be expected to provide telehealth services.
- Work collaboratively with all other members of the program team.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Bilingual Spanish is required for this position; must be able to demonstrate fluency in writing, speaking, reading Spanish
- Minimum of one year of experience as a translator or interpreter preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality required
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in a similar mental health program serving the CYF population is desirable
- Reliable transportation is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. A valid California driver’s license in good standing and proof of insurance are required for employees driving personal vehicles on company business
- Must be able to pass criminal/background clearance

Nueva Vista Family Services is a Children/Youth/Family (CYF) outpatient program that provides services in the South Bay region of San Diego County. We provide a range of services including crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, medication support, rehabilitation, case management and co-occurring behavioral health and substance use services while incorporating the family systems and wrap-around approach.
We provide mental health services to children and youth with Medi-Cal as well as those who are uninsured and underinsured. Our services are clinic, school, community, and home-based.
