What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse - RN position at CRF Behavioral Healthcare?
Hours:16 hours per week; work schedule to be determined at the program level. Must be available for evening and/or weekend shifts (2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm or 4:00 pm to Midnight)
Pay Rate: $48.08 per hour plus $3.00 per hour differential for weekend shifts
Licensure: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be kept current and in good standing during employment
Certification: BLS certification required and must be kept current during employment

As a Nurse - RN, you will be part of a team that assesses clients mental and physical health and develops treatment plans.
- Consult with psychiatrist and other health professionals as well as manage medications.
- Coordinate care with outside providers to assist in a long-term plan for obtaining medications and maintain care in the community for both mental and physical health.
- Safely store and handle medications and ensure the proper documentation is completed.
- Provide medication support services, which ensure optimal outcomes for your clients.
- Administer long-acting psychotropic medications.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
- Ability to physically and mentally assist in emergency situations is required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Vista Balboa Crisis Centers is one of our Short Term Acute Residential Treatment (START) programs that provide intensive, community-based crisis residential services for adults throughout San Diego County. They deliver a unique alternative to psychiatric hospitalization to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis of such magnitude so as not to be manageable on an outpatient basis. Their services are provided in a home-like environment that specializes in the psychosocial rehabilitation of each individual.
