Summary
Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of hydraulic stands and pumps as well as limited servicing of CNC/manual machines. Will communicate findings and make recommendations to management. Duties will also include general facility maintenance tasks as needed to support the department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
- Perform preventative maintenance servicing on production equipment as needed.
- Perform repairs or modifications on both dynamic and static test stands.
- Perform repairs and service on high pressure pump units.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and other production equipment as needed.
- Perform oil sample analysis using particulate analysis machine.
- Replenish cutting fluids utilizing refractometer to ensure proper mix ratios.
- Repair, service, and monitor oil skimmers for each machine in the shop.
- Order supplies through Avante purchasing process.
- Seek and document lean process improvement ideas for the department.
- Perform limited machine repair and servicing as needed to include tearing down and cleaning, replacing light bulbs and wipers, replacing batteries, checking air lines, and stopping leaks.
- Collaborates with machine repair technicians for preventative maintenance service and cleaning.
Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and one year certificate from college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write in simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Math Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Skills
- Ability to solve practical problems ad deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer/ Technical/Office Skills
- Basic windows/internet browser
- ERP/Inventory
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and fuel testing systems
- Proficiency at cylinders, pumps, motor and valve components with advanced hydraulic systems
- Fork lift operation
