Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a contract Chemical Lab Technician for their Southfield, MI, site.
This is a long-term contract position (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate) with a pay rate of $22/Hour (benefits are available).

This role is ideal for individuals skilled in repetitive analysis using advanced techniques like Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform coatings analysis using GC, HPLC, and GPC in alignment with established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure accurate performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct precise sample preparation, including dilution, filtration, and derivatization, for reliable analysis.
- Analyze data and document results meticulously, maintaining detailed records in compliance with laboratory best practices.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory while fostering a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience with GC, HPLC, and GPC analytical techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including instrument calibration and sample preparation.
- Excellent documentation and data analysis skills.
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to maintaining safety and organization in the lab.
- High school diploma with 6 years of lab experience, Associate's degree with 2 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
