Cryptic Vector is seeking an experienced Antenna Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of antenna solutions. As an Antenna Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of advanced antenna solutions to support critical government and military applications. Responsibilities
- Perform Trade Studies to determine appropriate antenna concepts and architectures for unique customer missions and requirements
- Design, simulate, tune, and test various antennas
- Use computational electromagnetics software to design and optimize antennas
- Construct physical prototypes as needed to support test and validation of designs
- Bench tune antennas as needed to close gaps between simulation and test results
- Design antenna matching/loading circuitry to match antenna and system impedance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems engineers and hardware designers to optimize design and development
- Support internal customer research and development programs by designing and simulating antennas, arrays, or RF components/systems
- Write custom test/control scripts (python/MATLAB) as needed to control test equipment and collect antenna measurements
- Analyze simulation and test data to verify that antenna designs meet performance goals and requirements
- Document design processes and test results
- Collaborate with mechanical and test engineers to document manufacturing and testing procedures for production
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical discipline
- 5 years of hands-on experience in antenna design and development
- Expertise in antenna theory, electromagnetic simulation, and measurement techniques
- Proficient with laboratory equipment including Signal Generators, Vector Network Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers
- Proficient in using design software such as HFSS, CST, or equivalent EM tools
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to present technical information effectively
- Ability to obtain/maintain a US security clearance
- Willing to work onsite at our Liberty Township office
