Follows recipes, chef guidance on stations, Standard Operating Procedures, and all safety regulations. Responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization and sanitation of their specific station, the kitchen, and for the delivery of high quality and properly served food & beverage products. Essential Job Functions Cook I at Crystal Mountain Resort is an Entry level position Basic knife skillsAbility to follow recipesUnderstanding of food sanitation, FIFO and food storageWillingness to learn and receive training to develop techniqueJob Requirements 1-2 years experience in kitchen operationsAbility to obtain WA Food Safety Card within 3 Days of hiringAbility to stand for long periods of timeSome culinary outlets require Intermediate Skiing / Snowboarding ability in winter seasonAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidaysWillingness to learn and develop as a culinary professionalPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
