Your Role:
As the Program Development Manager, you’ll help drive the growth and expansion of CEA CAPA’s program portfolio by supporting the maintenance of existing programs and leading new development initiatives, including academic disciplines, geographic locations, and product lines. This hands-on role encompasses all stages of program development, from conducting market research and identifying partner needs to managing cross-departmental projects. Reporting to the Senior Director of Program Development, you’ll help shape impactful global learning experiences while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitor research to help identify development opportunities related to academic disciplines, program locations, and other emerging trends within education abroad.
- Evaluate U.S. degree plans and identify synergies across multiple U.S. institutions to inform CEA CAPA course development.
- Compile data regarding institutional needs and interests to help guide decisions on the development of new CEA CAPA courses, programs, locations, and product lines.
- Support the maintenance of CEA CAPA’s partner program portfolio by:
- Identifying unique academic offerings for each partner.
- Addressing specific U.S. institution requests and inquiries as they relate to partner program offerings.
- Troubleshooting changes implemented by local partner institutions to academic structures, courses, credits, etc.
- Guide international colleagues through the step-by-step process of program development, including but not limited to defining academic structures, building program budgets, establishing application and eligibility requirements, contract review, accommodation options, and adherence to established program launch schedules.
- Coordinate with Institutional Relations, Enrollment, Marketing, IT, and other stakeholders to implement new programs, including creation of web content, pre-departure literature, and application/registration procedures.
- Liaise with the CEA CAPA Academic Administration team to support the course development process.
- Support the Institutional Relations team in the articulation of CEA CAPA standard programming to help win program approvals and cohort programs.
- Engage with institutional staff, faculty, and administrators at U.S. institutions via strategic calls and campus visits to identify institutional needs and interests for new courses and programs.
- Organize and complete curriculum mapping projects at the request of CEA CAPA’s institutional partners.
- Participate in focus groups targeted to specific disciplines, geographic locations, and/or key development initiatives.
- Support the development of proactive proposals for specific disciplines or programs by contributing content and assisting with revisions.
- Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders on new program development initiatives as well as existing program offerings.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Institutional Relations teams to support the development of messaging strategies and marketing assets.
- Assist with the development and deliverance of training for new standard programs to CEA CAPA staff and U.S. institutional partners to promote the success of all programs.
Starting Salary: $70,000
What Makes a Great Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in international education with a preference for experience in program development and management
- In-depth knowledge of undergraduate degree requirements and sequencing with a preference for candidates who have experience in academic advising
- Skilled in active listening to understand stakeholder needs with demonstrated empathy and patience in addressing requests
- Excellent research skills and experience using data in decision making
- Strong intercultural communication skills in both written and oral forms
- Comfortable and effective working with domestic and international colleagues in both business and academic environments
- Experience using Canvas or other learning management systems to design and deliver training is preferred
