Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: Associate degree in automotive technical field, automotive service, business, or equivalent years of related field experience.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; effective communication and verbal skills, customer service focus; ability to manage urgent deadlines in challenging environment; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; excellent auto mechanical repair skills; knowledge in auto electrical, hydraulic systems, compressors, and crane repairs, proficient PC skills, including Internet; visual and auditory skills.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years’ experience in auto repair, truck body, oil, and gas, and/or mining equipment repair is required.
General Responsibilities
This position will support Curry Supply’s continued expansion within the Service and Warranty department. The function of the technician is to provide truck repair service to customers in support of our products as well as vendor supplied products. The job will require an overall expertise to repair all Curry Supply products through both field service work and in-house shop services. The candidate must have the ability to assess a situation and make sound repair decisions. The individual must have effective communication skills to inform management and customers on situations and courses of action.
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties:
Quickly familiarize oneself with the entire Curry Supply product line to enable effective and efficient equipment repairs
Diagnose technical problems and determine proper corrective actions
Listen to client complaints and assist in addressing issues
Troubleshoot to identify and isolate failed equipment components
Repair hydraulic equipment
Repair electrical equipment
Repair crane equipment
Replace compressor components
Maintain and document accurate service reports
Build positive relationships with customers and resolve challenges in a professional manner
Employ advanced multi-tasking skills
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information, parts, materials, and repair procedures.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
