What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Lab Technician (2nd Shift) position at Curtis Metal Finishing?
Curtis Metal Finishing is seeking a paint lab technician to join our team on the following shifts:
2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)
Starting at $18.00/hr. plus $2.00/hr. shift premium
This technician will be responsible for the paint and overall quality of our coating facility. Forklift driving experience is preferred as well as a background in paint.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Paint set ups for all dip spin lines
- Vat and paint monitoring through;
- Viscosity
- Solids
- pH checks
- Vat and Paint maintenance through straining
- Cleanout of vats
- Spot check line operator duties
- Perform final inspection of all processes
- Clean and organized work area.
- Follow policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of industry sector safety and environmental standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1 years’ experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Work authorization: United States (Required)
