About the Role:
As a Control Systems Technician, you will focus on equipment troubleshooting and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply labeling systems, scales, HMI systems, and control cabinets. While further developing your skills you may assist other technicians with their development through continuity of knowledge. All while working in a clean, climate controlled, modern facility!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
Maintain material handling control systems, industrial, motor control systems, servo and frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems
Monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics and partner with other Controls Technicians and Mechanics to efficiently resolve equipment electrical problems that contribute to performance deficiencies
Utilize Operation System Assessment reports to improve material handling system reliability through preventive maintenance tasks completion and identifies deficiency repairs
Escalate to operations and network support resources for guidance and assistance to restore equipment back to operational mode with minimal downtime impact
Communicate technical issues to RME and Operations Leadership
Basic Qualifications:
2 Years of cumulative work experience in any of the following areas:
HMI’s, PLC’s, VFD’s
Commercial Control and BMS systems
Motor Control
Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting
Automotive troubleshooting with a focus on wiring systems, control module, and CAN networking.
High school or equivalent diploma
Positive attitude and ability to effectively Problem Solve
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in Electronic Technology (or similar)
2 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/ programming
Experience in some of the following areas:
Supporting a range of different conveyors and sortation systems
AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC’s and PLC components
SCADA systems and KPI’s
Industrial electrical hands-on experience including troubleshooting, schematics, and diagnostic equipment
Equipment Control Components
Relays, Motor Starters, VFD’s, HMI’s, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment
Must have ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required PPE, which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face shield, and composite-toed shoes.
Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/maintain equipment
Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, with most of the time spent standing or walking
Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
