This Position is in Custer SD, may require travel or relocation to area.
Custer County is seeking applications for a full-time Highway Department Sign Technician to support our 400 miles of county roads. Enjoy a four-day work week with no evening shifts, and weekends and holidays off, unless weather or emergencies require road maintenance.
Applicant must have a valid SD class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain within the standard 6-month probationary period
Starting Pay up to $23.18 per hour and Employees are offered paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave. Health Insurance, Dental, Life Insurance Options and SDRS Retirement with 6% matching investment.
This position requires the manual labor to Install and maintain County traffic signage as required by County, State and Federal regulatory guidance. Additionally, must have the ability to perform maintenance work on county roads and bridges, including asphalt repairs, maintaining gravel roads, snow removal & minor equipment repairs under the direction of the Superintendent or the foreman.
