General Laborer - Bowl Teardown

## Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our vertical turbine repair team, focusing on the teardown function within our operations. This role is critical to our process, involving the disassembly of damaged or worn vertical turbine pumps and components in preparation for repair or refurbishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be physically capable of handling heavy equipment, and possess a keen attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to work within a specialized team and contribute significantly to the efficiency and success of our repair processes.

## Key Responsibilities:

- Safely disassemble vertical turbine pumps and components, following established procedures and guidelines.

- Use hand and power tools to remove parts and components from pumps, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.

- Inspect parts for damage, wear, and other issues, tagging them for repair, replacement, or further inspection.

- Clean and prepare disassembled parts for the repair process, using appropriate cleaning equipment and methods.

- Organize and store parts and components in designated areas, maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.

- Assist in the inventory management of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.

- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injuries and accidents.

- Work closely with the repair and assembly teams to provide support and assistance as needed throughout the repair process.

- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to vertical turbine pump repair and maintenance.

## Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in a general labor or mechanical role is preferred, but not required.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized skills related to pump repair and maintenance.

- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Basic understanding of safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers.
