Job Description

CVP seeks a skilled Data Analyst to provide expertise across several projects. Our mission is to architect, build, and support innovative federal IT systems which focus on optimizing government programs and outcomes. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and operating data systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the full lifecycle development of data warehouses and BI tools with experience in data modeling, ETL development, and dashboards/reports. This professional will collaborate with both business and technical personnel to develop the end product.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data models and ETL processes for data warehouses.
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations for actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate data requirements into technical specifications.
  • Implement data quality measures and ensure data integrity throughout the ETL process.
  • Optimize data warehouse performance and query efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Implement row-level security and other data governance measures in Power BI and data warehouses.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and reporting issues.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, especially in PostgreSQL and/or Sybase environments
  • Expertise in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
  • Experience with ETL processes and data warehouse design
  • Proven ability to create complex data visualizations and interactive dashboards
  • Knowledge of data governance and security practices
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
