What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Bus Driver/Trainer [Internal and External Candidates] position at Cypress School District (TK-6 Elementary)?
Under the direction of the Director, Maintenance/Operations, Transportation, and Technology (MOTT), develops and coordinates the assignment of bus routes and trips; oversees scheduling and operations of transportation staff, including training; drives a school bus or other transportation vehicle; maintains required reports; interfaces with parents, administrators, outside agencies, California Highway Patrol, and Department of Education; independently resolves issues related to pupil transportation; coordinates daily delivery operations; and performs other related work as assigned. Cypress School District is an elementary (TK-6) district in northwestern Orange County, with district boundaries encompassing most of the city of Cypress and small parts of La Palma and Buena Park. We are one of the highest achieving school districts in Orange County, with students consistently exceeding state and national goals. Our schools are newly modernized for safety and enhanced technology, with SMART Boards in every classroom.
