D&P is headquartered in Bergamo, Italy with local offices operating in multiple locations, focused in specialization in several fields: Noceto, Italy for Household Appliances, Gallarate, Italy and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for Aerospace/Avionics.

Our exponential growth over the last few years has led to further expansion in the United States and we are seeking a talented Design Engineer for a new position in North Carolina.

Qualifications and Skills:

You must have...

  • PTC Creo and windchill knowledge absolutely necessary AND will be tested prior to an employment offer
  • 2 years demonstrated experience in design, NOT academically related
  • Switchgear design principle desirable
  • Sheet metal design a must

You must reside in North Carolina or be immediately prepared to relocate.

You must be authorized to work in the United States, we are not able to sponsor work visas for this position.

· The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing design solutions based on customer needs, business objectives, and apparatus certification requirements. The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop digital design data and engineering change orders, interface requirements, and configuration accountability. Responsible for communication with a global team to ensure alignment across physical, functional, and organizational interfaces. This position will also be involved in training new employees, implementing standard manuals and implementing class training manuals.

· The required mechanical design engineering experience must have included (1) a minimum of 1 year of experience using Solidworks software for 3D modeling, drafting, sheet metal, and assembly; (2) a minimum of 1 year of experience working with medium voltage components development and cubicles; (3) a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a design engineering position in a research and development department; (4) a minimum of 1 year of experience in die-casting process and sheet metal bending process; (5) a minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical machining, milling, and welding; and, (6) knowledge of ISO and ENEL rules acquired through a minimum of 1 year of experience in an engineering position operating under those procedures

· The salary for this position will be between $63,000-70,000 per year depending on experience.
