- Lead the design process, ensuring design objectives are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Manage design consultants and contracts from conceptual design through final construction documents, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Facilitate collaboration between the design and construction teams, ensuring design feasibility and constructibility.
- Review and evaluate design drawings for alternative build pursuits or active projects to ensure cost-efficiency, constructibility, and design optimization.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify and address potential design-related issues.
- Coordinate and track design packages, including permits and public information sessions, to ensure timely project progression.
- 10 years of experience in the construction industry, design engineering, estimating, or related fields.
- 5 years of experience in design management or design engineering.
- Proven track record of managing construction design teams and working on alternative design pursuits (Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, P3).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; Professional Engineering License (PE) or similar certifications highly valued.
- Strong communication, leadership, and financial acumen skills.
