JOB SUMMARY
The role of the operator is to run the Automated Inspection Machine for high volume production at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for inspecting and sorting rubber parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Shifts available:
1st Shift (7am to 3pm) $13.00
2nd Shift (3pm to 11pm) $13.25
3rd Shift (11pm to 7am) $13.50
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up operation for automated inspection machines.
- Perform all work safely, following all safety procedures.
- Thorough understanding of machine function and operations.
- Perform machine recovery using trouble shooting guide.
- Perform any in-process operations such as fill machine and stop to troubleshoot when alarm rings.
- Visually inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
- Ability to communicate clearly to supervisor or technician any issue with operation of the machines.
- Ability to read and understand English and basic math skills.
- Periodic cleaning and visual inspection of the machines condition per procedures.
- General housekeeping in and around machine areas.
- Accurate record keeping of daily activities.
- Read and understand specific work instructions related to production activities.
- General understanding of customer requirements and drawings.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with other groups to convey information effectively
- Apply logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Other duties as assigned
