Contract Duration : 5 months
Worksite Location : Brooklyn Park, MN
Compensation : $45.00-$71.00 per hour

What you'll do as the Mainframe Developer :

Develop and test code to deliver functionality that aligns with business strategies and objectives

Build and implement features from the product backlog, ensuring they meet user requirements

Size user stories and manage the delivery of code in an agile framework

Unit test code, create automated test scripts and handle all testing-related tasks to ensure quality deliverables

Test deliverables against the user story's acceptance criteria, ensuring business needs are met

Follow agile methodologies for development and documentation, contributing to continuous improvement

Execute necessary project documentation to track progress and compliance

Contribute to an agile environment with an emphasis on iterative development, working with user stories and sprints

Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvements

What you'll bring to the Mainframe Developer role :

3-5 years of experience as an engineering professional with a strong focus on Mainframe technologies

Hands-on experience with Cobol, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and GDG files for reliable and efficient mainframe application development

Experience in Manual Mainframe Testing, ensuring functional code and stable releases

Test-driven development and software test automation expertise, contributing to efficient, high-quality code

Knowledge of agile development practices with a deep understanding of user stories, iterative development, and continuous delivery

Ability to implement and work with MQ, CoolGen, and Easytrieve, enhancing system capabilities (Nice-to-Have)

Strong understanding of Scrum methodology and collaborative teamwork, with a Scrum certification as a potential advantage.
