Job Title: DS Cow Care Technician
Reports To: Local Cow Care Manager
Cow Care Vision: Our Ultimate Cow Care goal is to support Dairies by milking cows gently, quickly, and efficiently. By providing professional expertise, innovative products/technology, and the use of up-to-date testing equipment to sustain high milk quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create trust and a good relationship with customers that want to succeed together with DS Cow Care team.
- Manage assigned dairies that require technical support and help fulfill the Cow Care vision.
- Learn and provide service on the following: basic milking principles, pulsation, takeoffs, proper vacuum evaluation, proper VOD’s settings, Proper pipeline slopes, proper air injector timing and tank and pipeline wash evaluation.
- Oversee and help manage customer milk quality counts with Cow Care account managers.
- Oversee and evaluate milking parlors, pipeline, and tank washes with Cow Care Team.
- Provide documentation back to the DS service department on follow-up needs and repairs.
- Support sales efforts and leads developed from Cow care and work with sales team on bidding support and execution.
- Have the best interest in good cow milking and convey positive support to customers. Travel within the designated area from the Dairy specialist’s office that you are assigned to.
- Travel to local/assigned dairies to fulfill Cow Care management responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports to a Local Cow Care manager but will work closely with other cow care technicians and other cow care members of the Kansas location. Teamwork is essential to Cow Care success.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the local service managers for support.
- Work closely with the local delivery truck/warehouse for product delivery.
- Work with OEM sales reps. For support on product support.
- Work closely with assigned personnel from local to Colorado on pricing and support.

- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
- Ability to direct clearly and concisely with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn different databases systems and apply spreadsheets management skills.
