POSITION SUMMARY:
We are searching for a full time dependable, detail-oriented Electrician to join our excellent, growth-oriented company. This is a wonderful position for either a Master Electrician or a Journeyman willing to obtain their Master's license within one year of hire. This position will support five locations in MO, MN, SD, IA, and MI. Travel to locations via car or plane is required (approximately 25% of your time).
The Electrician's responsibilities include installing and servicing electrical systems, observing company safety guidelines, documenting each project, and updating records, providing material cost and time estimates, and someday training apprentices. You should also be able to easily diagnose electrical faults and provide excellent customer service across the business.
To be successful as an Electrician, you should be able to read blueprints, use diagnostic tools, and make decisions under pressure and autonomously. Outstanding Electricians have sound knowledge of their craft and the ability to transfer this knowledge and skill to apprentices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (comprehensive, but not limited to):
- Testing and troubleshooting systems.
- Help during emergencies, including after normal business hours, weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Interpreting blueprints and drawing rough sketches as necessary.
- Select the most appropriate course of action, given the project restrictions.
- Obtaining required permits, equipment, tools, and materials for projects (when required).
- Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
- Installing, repairing, and servicing electrical systems including wiring, plugs, panel boards, switchgear, switchboards, and similar.
- Writing reports on electrical maintenance, including inspections, test results, final situation prognosis, and steps to solve each job or situation.
- Drawing up and implementing preventative maintenance policies and procedural measures and explaining these staff.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all company rules and OSHA safety standards.
- Commuting between job locations (multi-state) and responsible for standard tools and equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
- Guiding and supervising other maintenance electricians and electrical related functions.
- Maintain professional, respectful, and timely service always.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an electrician program.
- Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician, commercial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Knowledge and experience working with low voltage applications.
- Exhibit strong organizational, time management skills to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Demonstrated ownership for decisions and actions; facilitates accountability.
- Possess solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Experience with power tools and other equipment used in commercial construction.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
