Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training in cooking techniques and food handling practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and culinary techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles and practices.
- Proficient in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively.
- Familiarity with dietary requirements and nutrition principles is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. English - Spanish bilingual is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
