Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fitter/Welder at Dave Steel Company in Asheville, NC. The Fitter/Welder will be responsible for welding and fitting steel components according to blueprints and specifications. Daily tasks include interpreting drawings, measuring and cutting materials, welding components, and conducting pre-quality checks on finished products.
Qualifications
- Welding and Fitting skills
- Ability to interpret structural steel drawings
- Experience in measuring, cutting, and welding carbon steel
- Knowledge of quality control processes (preferably AWS D1.1 specs)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Certification in welding is a plus
- Previous experience in structural steel fabrication a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
