Primary Responsibilities

• Must have injection molding experience with the ability to set up injection molds independently.
• Responsible for organizing work for employees in their workgroup. Improve efficiencies by showing employees easier and better ways to produce parts.
• Look up blueprints, job orders, and track production.
• Maintain high production rates throughout their workgroup and be able to meet deadlines.
• Ensure employees are entering data correctly.
• Promote a positive work environment.
• Complete assigned work on time.
• Must know and follow all plant, departmental, and job safety rules.
• Must know, understand, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and follow all applicable safe operating procedures and rules including housekeeping requirements.
• Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements necessary for this skill or job area.
• Continuously perform visual inspection on parts, reject obvious pieces with defects.
• Keep workstations clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Train new employees on the operational procedures of each new job to be run. Show the employee the proper techniques for doing their job and maintaining good production rates. Train employees on how to look for defects in parts and separate those from the good parts. Train employees on the use of proper protective equipment and safe operation of all machinery and tools. Allow employees to job shadow by demonstrating the job and allow new employees to watch how the job should be done.

• High School Diploma or better in General Studies
