Responsibilities
- Create PLC programs using ladder editor, function block diagrams, flow charts, etc. for web converting equipment and associated functions
- Design and develop HMI applications
- Design and review PLC network architecture
- AC/DC drives configuration
- Integration of Legacy drives, controls and equipment
- Support the creation of technical product documentation and information
- In-house testing of software and systems
- Provide on-site assistance during system start-up and commissioning
- Remote and on-site customer support
- Assist Sales with pre-study analysis and reports
- Interact with customers as required
- Work closely with team members to complete projects and assignments
Position Requirements
- BSEE or MSEE with Controls background preferred
- Minimum 2 year technology degree
- Knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, PCs, Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC
- Previous experience with PLCs, AC and DC Drive systems and Supervisory control systems
- Strong understanding of industrial controls networks
- Web handling and converting equipment experience is preferred, but not a requirement
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others and manage a customer
- Strong technical aptitude and good analytical skills; organized and detail oriented
- Self-starter, willing to work-through and seek answers to ongoing new requirements
- Strong self-discipline
- Experience with the following computer related skills: Office 365, Word, Excel
- Industrial programming software such as: Ladder Logic, Control Block Diagramming, HMI configuration software
