What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Receiving Clerk position at DC Dental, Inc.?

Since our humble beginnings, we've added thousands of products to our stock, along with an equipment sales department, a service department with expert technicians, and an office design arm. We are looking for experienced people to work on our day shift who are responsible for receiving, preparing, storing, and distributing material and products within the DC Dental Warehouse by performing the duties noted below.
The expected permanent work hours and workdays are 7:00am to 3:30pm (Monday through Friday).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Physically unload products received from delivery vehicles manually and/or with equipment such as a pallet jack.
- Verify items received match the purchase order.
- Check quantity and quality of items received including addressing damaged goods.
- Physically open boxes, bales, crates, and other containers for quality control and distribution throughout the warehouse.
- Mark materials and products with identifying information using appropriate method, such as barcode labels.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed according to a Warehouse Management System.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins within the warehouse according to predetermined sequence such as by size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or to the shipping area.
- Move materials and items to and from storage areas, the receiving area, or to other designated areas within the warehouse.
- Fill requisitions, customer orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distribute items to the shipping area or another designated area.
- Physically count inventory on hand.
- Weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Operate a forklift throughout the warehouse in order to move merchandise (if qualified).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS ARE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year or more of previous warehouse experience.
- Detail-oriented.
- Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer.
- Ability to read and interpret documents as well as ability to write basic correspondence memos and notes.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
- Ability to physically to walk and be on one’s feet at least 8 hours per day.
- Ability to physically lift up to 25pounds.
- Previous experience using RF Scan Guns and interacting with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
