DECO Products Company, LLLC is Hiring a Preventive Maintenance Technician Near Decorah, IA

I. Position Objective

The Preventative Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

II. Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Carryout regular preventive maintenance to mitigate major damage.

2. Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in machine and equipment.

3. Ensure that the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances.

4. Cleaning, Painting and Fabrication.

5. Willing to work 10-hour days when needed.

6. Follow schedules and timelines to meet objectives.

7. Work effectively and efficiently as a team.

8. Attention to detail.

9. Excellent attendance; focused and engaged.

10. Wear proper PPE for the job.

11. Follow written and verbal work instructions for the designated job.

12. Must have experience working with both hand tools and power tools.

13. Disassemble equipment and be able to reassemble it correctly.

14. Comply with safety regulations.

15. Maintain clean and orderly work areas.

16. Other duties as assigned.

III. Working Conditions

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

2. Must not be afraid to get dirty

3. Employee is working without air conditioning in an area that can be extremely warm at times.

IV. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.

2. Employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to move from machine to machine.

3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

8. Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal work instructions.

9. Good hand eye coordination, manual dexterity (the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects).

10. Flexibility to adjust to various job assignments within their department and work in other departments as the workload increases and decreases.

11. Willingness to work any shift.

V. Education and Training

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Skills in Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical preferred.

3. 1 to 2 years of maintenance preferred.

4. An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
