We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our growing team and play a crucial role in managing the electrical installation aspects of our projects.
Position Overview: The Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical installation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position involves managing field crews, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and client specifications. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in using computer software to support project management and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily electrical operations on construction sites.
- Manage and direct a team of electricians and subcontractors to ensure project completion.
- Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and project managers to establish project schedules and goals.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues on-site.
- Review blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy in installation.
- Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and material logs.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
- Train and mentor electrical team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- MUST have previous experience running $2M commercial projects independently.
- 5 years of experience in electrical contracting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical systems, and construction safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage large projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environments including outdoor construction sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
