POSITION DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions:
•Your sales portfolio will begin with Modernization and New Construction
•Secure modernization contracts by gaining a thorough knowledge of products, processes, and customer relationships
•Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential customers and opportunities by scheduling sales calls and continued follow up on leads to develop the opportunity
•Develop a highly executable pipeline of work by prospecting, qualifying and developing relationships with customers, architects, and consultants
•Become highly familiar with industry terminology, key suppliers, and internal stakeholders
•Develop opportunity estimates and proposal work to align with customer needs and specifications
•Become highly familiar with project profit objectives
•Utilize the CRM to record, qualify, and develop opportunity and maintain status of each modernization project
•Attend all appropriate trade events, continuing the promotion of Delaware Elevator within industry and community
•Become highly familiar with the route technicians and establish a relationship that allows for clear communication between all parties
•Work closely with marketing, sales manager, and operations to establish the Delaware Elevator brand and progress reputation in your territory
•Maintain market awareness of planned projects and bidding strategies
•Be a highly professional representative of Delaware Elevator
•Report Monthly, current pipeline, Sales Revenue and Sales related activities
Position Qualifications:
•Education: BS degree preferred
•Experience: Five years related sales experience (Elevator related is preferred)
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
Skills & Abilities:
•Proven ability to work remotely, independent as part of a team
•Demonstrate understanding of general mechanical and electrical applications and required to complete the Technical Portion of the VTMP in the first 6 months of employment (taking previous experience into consideration)
•Excellent time management
•Must have good customer relations and presentation skills
•Must be able to multi-task
•Excellent Communication – written and verbal
