SCADA Technician

Job Title: SCADA Technician (Contract) - Job#5255

Job Location: Springfield, MA area

Job Description:

• Process any new SCADA/ICCP/PMU/RTU tickets
• Review open trouble tickets for resolution/escalation/closure
• Collaborate and assist internal and external customers in troubleshooting data problems related to: RTU's, ICCP datalinks, Network failures, PMU/PDC datalinks
• Provision new PMU devices
• Utilize diagnostic tools to proactively detect data quality problems
• Execute and adhere to CIP compliance procedures, regulations and evidence gathering
• Review and update online and offline databases to resolve issues
• Support system and application level patching and updates
• Perform RTU testing with external customers

Required

• An associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or Certification as an IT Technician, such as CompTIA A or Microsoft Certified IT Professional as an alternative.
• Solid experience of working with diverse computer systems and networks: Linux and Windows
• Knowledge of EMS / SCADA systems
• Project management skills, such as organization and goal-setting
• Troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with any of the following protocols is desired: DNP3, TASE.2 / MMS (ICCP), C37.118, STTP, TCPIP/ICMP
• Knowledge or experience with Wireshark or other TCP capture tools
• Any Programming / scripting skills desirable such as PERL, VBA, SQL, Java, PowerShell, Python
