About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. HVAC Technician at the journeyman level to join our Client’s team. Their ideal candidate will have mid to high-level expertise in HVAC systems, with a strong focus on chiller systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a full service mechanical contractor focusing on commercial, industrial and institutional customers where you will play a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various HVAC systems for their clients.

Our Client is a union shop, so you will either need to be in a union or willing to join.

Pay is $58-68 p/h, with full benefits that equate to around $90 p/h.

What You'll Do:

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on various HVAC systems, with a focus on large-scale chiller systems.
• Install, maintain, and service HVAC equipment in both residential and commercial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to effectively complete work orders.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Provide recommendations for equipment replacements, upgrades, and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and installations through detailed reports.
• Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship or guidance to junior technicians when needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls.

About You:

• Journeyman-level HVAC technician with 10 years experience
• 10 years hands-on chiller experience, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles.
• Holds Journeyman level HVAC
• Ability to diagnose complex issues efficiently and come up with effective solutions.
• Capable of reading technical documents and ensuring accuracy in installations and repairs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and handle the physical demands of the job.
