We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Director of Financial Aid to lead and manage our Financial Aid department. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, while providing exceptional guidance and support to students throughout the financial aid process. This is an exciting leadership role that directly impacts the success and affordability of education for our diverse student body.
- Lead and oversee the Financial Aid Office, managing a team of financial aid advisors and staff.
- Develop and implement financial aid strategies that align with institutional goals and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies, including Title IV regulations.
- Oversee the administration of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs.
- Counsel students on financial aid options, eligibility, and the application process.
- Monitor financial aid awarding, packaging, and disbursement to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and manage department budgets and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to support student enrollment and retention goals.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred, but not required).
- 5 years of experience in Financial Aid Administration, preferably in a proprietary or higher education institution.
- Extensive knowledge of Title IV regulations and other relevant federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in financial aid software and systems.
