Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Duties
- Develop and manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to create and review schematics, ensuring all designs meet project specifications.
- Assist with overall success of the project, track project production, and build good relationships with clients.
- Assist with any Change Orders, RFIs, Submittals, Change Order Pricing, and Purchase orders.
- Implement construction management best practices to monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise on-site.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for project tracking and reporting purposes.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry is essential.
- 2 years working in the construction industry.
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will also be considered.
