We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Coordinate the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Collect and verify documentation related to education, training, licensure, and certifications of providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the credentialing database.
- Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and external agencies regarding credentialing requirements and status updates.
- Conduct regular audits of credentialing files to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting credentialing processes within managed care environments.
- Submission of Credentialing Application to insurance payors
Experience
- Proven experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and managed care practices.
- Familiarity with credentialing standards and processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with healthcare providers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
