The Opportunity
Denali is seeking a detail-oriented and creative HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance and communication projects, contributing to the development and enhancement of critical HR processes.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Compliance Project: Building Job Descriptions
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and people leaders to gather role-specific details and requirements.
Draft job descriptions using Denali standard template to ensure consistency and clarity.
Maintain an organized repository for job description documentation within HRIS system (Workday)
Communication Project: Enhancing HR Communications
Assist in developing strategies to improve internal and external HR communication efforts including use of AI.
Develop engaging content for internal HR updates and announcements, leveraging existing company communication platforms such as the intranet, SharePoint, and digital display screens.
Accurate and timely recording of work time by clocking in and out using designated timekeeping systems. Adherence to company timekeeping policies, including rules regarding overtime, meal breaks, and reporting procedures for any discrepancies.
Qualifications/Skills:
Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Energetic, and self-motivated with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Experience with content creation and social media management.

Job Type: Paid Internship
The expected wage for this position based on the South San Francisco California office location for BA/BS is $22.11 per hour. Paid holiday time off is based on Denali's designated holidays. Interns who live more than 50 miles away from the office are eligible for an additional housing stipend.
