Job Summary:

• Greet and seat customers, record orders, and take cash
• Deliver food and remove dishes and trays
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and food preparation

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Apply suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience
• Ensure guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns
• Inform management of safety hazards, guest complaints, or other issues
• Complete required paperwork, side-work, and cleaning tasks
• Adhere to company standards and policies
• Offer suggestive selling to maintain proper guest check average
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests
• Perform cleaning and stocking duties as assigned
• Assist other service personnel as needed
• Embody and promote Denny's values

Accountabilities:

• Greet and serve food and beverage in a pleasant and courteous manner
• Enter and check orders for accuracy

Physical Requirements:

• Extensive standing without breaks
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold
• Must have high level of mobility and flexibility
• Must be able to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress
• Bending, reaching, walking
• Communicating with customers
• Must be able to work with a computer and have good phone skills
• Operating cash register
• Carrying trays of food products
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Qualifications Standards:

• Above standard verbal and written skills
• Above standard communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Guest-oriented personality
• Knowledge of restaurant operations
• Ability to function under stress during peak hours
• Excellent physical condition due to job requirements
• Simple math skills required
• Flexibility and ability to manage change
• Must meet health regulations for food handling
• Must complete all required training and comply with company policies
