As a Shift Leader, you will have the chance to oversee restaurant activities in the absence of a Manager. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant and upholding our high standards of quality and service. JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and oversee restaurant operations when management is not present
• Adhere to security measures to ensure the safety of the establishment
• Ensure compliance with all Denny's policies and procedures
• Oversee standard compliance and safety practices at all times
• Complete assigned office duties, such as guest check validation and timely drawer changes
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and presentation of menu items
• Complete all required training courses
• Fill in for any vacant positions when necessary
• Embody and promote Denny's Inc. and Franchise company values
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager and General Manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive standing without breaks
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold
• Ability to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress
• Bending, reaching, and walking
• Effective communication with customers
• Operating cash register
• Carrying trays of food products
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

• Above-standard verbal and written skills
• Above-standard communication and supervisory skills
• Good organizational skills
• Guest-oriented personality
• Knowledge of all facets of restaurant operations
• Ability to function under stress during peak hours
• Excellent physical condition due to the nature of the job
• Basic math skills required
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
• Knowledge of all job codes
• Compliance with health regulations regarding food handling
• Adherence to all Denny's policies
