Position Description:
The Mental Health Counselor Team Lead will work with the Program Coordinator and Program Manager to support a team of staff who provide direct counseling services to children and their families and determine the Team Lead’s clinical case load which may vary depending on program needs. The Mental Health Counselor Team Lead will also provide direct supervision of staff, crisis intervention, documentation oversight, training, consultation, and assistance with weekly and monthly reporting checks as well as support the training and motivation of program staff as they manage questions, concerns, and provide support for families.

Required Qualifications:
- Masters in social work or related human services field
- Fully licensed as an LMSW; or
- Provisionally licensed as an LPC Associate or LMFT-Associate.
- Minimum one (1) year’s related experience
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention, or child welfare
- Must have relevant knowledge/clinical skills.
- Knowledge of Social Work practices
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional, confidential work environment
- Ability to problem solve complex problems in family relationships
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and work force
- Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs
- Ability to relate well to children and families in crisis
- Must be comfortable with advocacy, mediation, and teamwork
- Requires a high level of complex decision making, specific knowledge, experience, and creativity
- Shows a high level of motivation with the ability to work with a low level of supervision
- Shows strong clinical documentation skills
- Environment: Office
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 – 7:00 pm
- Travel: Occasional, Local
